2010 in Pictures-Part 2

JulyOur friends Connor and Mariel joined us for a fun filled 4th of July weekend and per usual we had a blast with them.We all joined Neil and Elise for a fireworks party at their apartment. They have an incredible view of DC and the fireworks over the national mall did not disappoint!

We traveled to Indianapolis for the wedding of my SIL Katie. We managed to do some sightseeing with our moms between the wedding festivities
It was so much fun to get together with VABeau's family for another big party! Katie was such a beautiful bride.
My parents even made the trip to Indiana for her wedding making the weekend a true family affair!

We kicked off VABeau's 27th Birthday week with the Dave Matthews Band/Zac Brown Band concert at Nationals Stadium. The concert was fantastic but the heat and humidity that night was beyond oppressive.

The next day we ventured to Charlottesville for tubing with our favorite DC people.

Hopefully this trip, planned by our friends Kristin and Ryan, becomes an annual event!

We had a great time in Charlottesville despite 2 flat tires that we got while wine tasting Sunday. We definitely made the best of the situation with drinks with Kristin and Ryan while my tires were replaced.

VABeau's 27th Birthday

Celebrated with a mid-day baseball game

and cheesecake! Obviously this was my first attempt at cheesecake. It tasted great but was not the most attractive dessert.
August

My SoBo ladies and I threw our bride to be, Kathryn, a wedding shower

The food was delicious and the location was gorgeousWe spent a week in Hilton Head and it was our best trip there yet! This sunset cruise was definitely the highlight.The Island Winery was pretty great too

We spent one day in Beaufort and a couple of hours on Hunting Island.

The view of the natural island from the lighthouse was amazing

We finished our vacation with a day in beautiful Savannah

and had the most amazing lunch at the Olde Pink House

VABeau became my hero when he booked this cute inn in Greenville, NC to break up our drive from HHI
September

I was fortunate enough to get another weekend in Charlottesville for Kathryn's winery bachelorette

and an amazing dinner at Zocalo with the bride to be

We took our annual apple picking trip on a gorgeous day in Middleburg

and could not resist the Middleburg wineries after our morning at the orchard Ran a race that took place right outside of our aparment

and completed my 4th race (2nd 10k) of the yearwe celebrated with friends at Clarendon Day, our neighborhood's annual street festival
October

We spent an amazing weekend at the Wynn Las Vegas

with my favorite SoBo girls

to celebrate the wedding of this great couple

Kathryn's wedding was beyond beautiful and she was a stunning bride

VABeau's brother and our SIL, CAWife, joined us in Vegas before driving us to their home in California

We had a great visit and cannot wait to go back

Palm Springs is beautiful!Our October travels continued with our anniversary trip to Saint Michaels, MD

We had so much fun in the romantic town celebrating 1 full year of marriage!

It was such a gorgeous and unique place

We finished the month with another trip to Charlottesville/UVA

November

I spent a few days in South Boston with my family before heading to Greensboro, NC for the last wedding of the year.

Morgan and Stefan's wedding was so much fun and she was a gorgeous bride

We headed back to Indiana to celebrate Thankgiving with VABeau's family

It was so fun to see everyone who live far away

There is never a dull moment when we all get together, we had a blast
December

The holiday season began with a tacky Christmas sweater party at 1101

and a holiday dinner party at our apartment. It was a huge sucess and I hope it becomes a tradition every year!

We met my in-laws for an early Christmas celebration at The Greenbrier

We had so much fun and it was a weekend/experience I will never forget

We spent the days leading up to Christmas with my family in South Boston

I also got to see some dear friends,spend quality time with my family,

and celebrate our 5th Christmas as a couple (2nd as a married couple)

2010 was a great year and I have so much to be thankful for. We are blessed beyond belief! I can't wait to see what 2011 holds for this VA couple!
